League Classic is now live with the launch of Patch 26.15, and it puts the game back the way it played before the rune rework, flat rune pages you had to buy, a 21/0/9 mastery tree, and an item shop full of things that stopped existing around a decade ago! 60 champions are live in the mode at launch, and the meta is shaping up to be nothing like the one you know.
Two things are live on U.GG today to help you make sense of League Classic!
The Classic Tier List Ranks All 60 Champions
All champions in League Classic are ranked S+ through D. The old rune and mastery system rewards a completely different set of strengths, so the order is completely different compared to the live version of the tier list.
A note on the data: Riot isn’t making League Classic match history available through the Riot API and has asked about Classic data not to be aggregated. These rankings and builds are based on PBE testing and theory-crafting, not live-match stats, and will be updated as the mode develops.
Below, we only list champions in the S+ tier. For the full champion rankings, check out our League Classic tier list.

Every Champions Has Its Own Classic Build Page
While the tier list tells you who’s strong, the individual champion pages tell you how to play them. Each of the 60 champions has a full build page covering:
- Rune page
- Masteries
- Summoner spells and skill priority
- Starting items, full six-item builds, and situational picks
- Ability tooltips as they work in Classic (different from live versions)
As an example, here’s Ahri’s detailed champion profile:

We hope the tier list and build pages help you navigate the new League Classic mode and we’ll see you in-game!
